SWIM PROGRAMS
The Avila Bay Athletic Club and Spa offers swim lessons year around for children and adults.
Masters Swim Fitness Program Tuesday & Thursday 9:00am to 10:15 am A great workout for members, along with excellent stroke work. Coached by Roger Warnes of the SLO Roadrunners Club.
Aqua & Deep H2O Exercise Aqua excercise Tues. & Fri. 11:30am - 12:30pm Deep H2O Exercise Mon., Wed., Thurs. 11:30am - 12:30pm Safe, effective, in-the-water workout developing cardiovascular health, strength, and endurance. Meets in the lap pool.
Prenatal Swim Fitness A combination of aqua aerobic exercises and swimming developed for pregnancy. Experience an effective and safe workout in the comfort and support that water provides.
Aqua Chickens A group class for adult limited experience swimmers. A fun and supportive group environment where adults can learn proficiency in the water and safety skills together.
Jr. Swim Workouts Swim Workouts / Training Tues., Wed, Thurs. 4:00pm - 5:00pm Our goal is to provide a safe, friendly, and motivating environment for children 7 - 14 years of age. Practices focus on stroke technique, strength development, and interval training. This program runs throughout the year. Rates: Drop-in $10 2 times a week prepaid $56/mo 3 times a week pre-paid $72/mo Monthly swim competition and game days are included.
Jr. Lifeguard Prep Camp Seasonal workouts for kids who want to join our local Jr. Lifeguard beach programs in the summer. A fun team working out with the goal of passing the entrance tests for Jr. Lifeguards or just being a part of what it is all about. Age group divisions for kids 7-17.
Youth Water Polo Club Year-round Junior Water polo and splashball. This team will not only be fun for kids ages 9-17, but will help prepare those entering competitive teams at school to be in top form before the season starts. Age group divisions for ages 9-17.
